Day 2 in Haiti

Entry by Mark DeCoste.One of the hardest day I have had in my life, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Physically we had to move buckets of cement by assembly lines in the extreme heat. And now we are in pain from digging and passing buckets all day long. Matt just said that it hurts to just sit down! At one point I felt sick from the heat but I drank some water and felt better shortly after. Emotionally we saw kids that had to walk around bare-foot and look like they haven't eaten anything in weeks. And everywhere we looked was trash and houses with collapsed roofs. Also the tent cities here are so sad because they have at least 4 to five people living in a 2 or 3 person tent. Another thing that is sad is that people sit on the side of the road just lookin so depressed. However the kids all seem so happy. Spiritually I realize that I have everything I need but I still ask God for more because I think I need it.
